That is why, we are looking for an experienced Ethics and Compliance Manager to join our Global Ethics, Risk and Compliance team!

In Global Ethics, Risk and Compliance, we are responsible for - among other things - developing, implementing and continuously enhancing LEO Pharma's Business Ethics and Compliance Program. You will be joining a dynamic, global team and get an opportunity to shape the future and help people with skin diseases live more fulfilling lives by advancing the standard of care. Your role

As an Ethics and Compliance Manager your overall objective will be to support design and development of our Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program as well as execution of core compliance processes. Your key responsibility will be to drive and support design, development and execution of our compliance risk assessment, compliance testing and monitoring, as well as compliance investigations, all of which are the core elements of the Program. That said, you will also have an opportunity to participate in, contribute and support a broad range of compliance activities - be it development of policies and procedures, automation of key compliance processes through use of IT solutions, data analytics, etc.

While executing your key responsibilities, you will work closely with your immediate colleagues in the Ethics and Compliance team, our Compliance Officers in countries and clusters across the globe, and relevant stakeholders in the Line of Business.

Your main tasks will be:
  • To actively drive continuous evolution of business ownership, practices and compliance services in the areas governed by the LEO Pharma Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies.
  • To provide expertise to the business/functions in a solutions- and risk- based manner to facilitate their goals and ensure process execution.
  • To design and develop our compliance risk assessment as well as compliance testing and monitoring frameworks.
  • To support Compliance Officers in countries and clusters in rolling out the aforementioned frameworks and executing underlying processes and activities.
  • To further enhance our whistleblower and investigations framework, drive internal/compliance investigation matters, and manage our investigation case handling/whistleblower system.
  • To ensure effective communication, training, and stakeholder management related to the respective frameworks/focus areas.
  • To participate in and actively contribute to compliance projects and initiatives (as needed).
  • To support functional skill building within the risk and compliance function by proactively sharing expertise on the respective framework/focus area.


You will be based in Gdansk, Poland and report to the Head of Ethics, Risk and Compliance based in Ballerup, Denmark. The Ethics and Compliance team consists of five colleagues based in Denmark and Poland. Furthermore, at our office in Gdansk you will be joined by colleagues from other teams in Global Ethics, Risk and Compliance. Therefore, a fun and exciting environment is guaranteed!

Please note that you may be required to travel (ca. 10-20 days per year) in this role.

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business administration, law, audit, or other area.
  • 5+ years of experience working in an ethics and compliance, audit, risk management or similar role(s) from a large, international company or one of the Big 4s. Experience working in/with pharma and/or medtech is considered an advantage.
  • Solid analytical skills in the resolution of complex issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing and executing compliance risk assessments, compliance audits, transaction testing and monitoring, and/or internal controls.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving internal/compliance investigations and investigation case management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other critical IT tools.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Fluent command of English. Other languages are considered an advantage.


As a person, you have a high level of interactive communication skills as well as presentation skills. You have the ability to work effectively within a complex organization with employees at all levels, and ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage ever-changing priorities in a structured mode. You are a problem solver with an excellent conceptualization skill.
