Can you manage a strategic alliance?
If you are an experienced Alliance Manager who thrives from working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative therapies for medical dermatology, we have just the right job for you in our strategic Alliance Management team, part of the broader R&D Portfolio & Program Leadership. LEO Pharma has set the very ambitious goal to become the world's preferred dermatology care partner. To succeed, we have made historical investments within R&D and in the last decade entered into several license agreements with biotech and pharmaceutical companies to bring new systemic and innovative medicines for patients with unmet medical needs. We have a strong pipeline with proprietary compounds as well as licensed compounds and technologies, and alliance management is responsible for driving effective collaboration, communication and governance across the projects with Strategic R&D partnerships. Help LEO Pharma deliver on our strategic goals As a senior Alliance Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of alliances with assets in clinical development and in close collaboration with the Global Program Lead (GPL) to ensure that LEO is diligently performing the contractual obligations. You will become a member of the Global Program Team (GPT), with the responsibility to onboard team members to the alliance to ensure adherence to our license agreements. Together with the GPL you will responsible for the communication plan with the partners and that the day-to-day business with the partner is running smoothly in terms of information sharing, project progression and fi-nancial considerations. When it comes to governance of the alliances, you are responsible for planning and executing the Joint Steering Committee (JSC) meetings, ensuring that the JSC members have received the information needed to make decisions. You are also responsible for preparing the minutes of the JSC meetings and collecting feedback from both parties. On a strategic level you are expected to look for opportunities to grow the value of the alliance. Your primary tasks include:
A driven team player with strong collaborative skills We are looking for a university trained (B.Sc., M.Sc., Cand. Pharm, MD or PhD in a life science discipline) can-didate with at least 10 years experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience from working within pharmaceutical drug development projects and/or with partnerships is a preferred. You are known for your open and positive mindset and find it motivating to work in teams and have strong stakeholder manage-ment and communication skills. As part of this, you must know how to understand and summarize legal con-tracts in lay language, and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues from a variety of scientific and business disciplines. Additionally, you have a good understanding of alliance dynamics and how to promote and support constructive collaboration across organizations - with understanding of and due respect to cultural, geographical, and professional differences. Your new department Alliance Management resides in the R&D Portfolio and Program Leadership area in Global R&D.
