You will be a key player in driving strategic projects in Global Procurement aiming to bring even more value to the business mid- and long-term.

The job

As Category Manager in Global Procurement you will drive and impact the global category strategy and a key partner to several stakeholders across the organization. With multiple transformation projects taking place in our Global Supply Chain and beyond this is an exciting time for the Logistics & Distribution area, and for the right person there will be both opportunities to considerably impact this area as well as plenty of hands-on in terms of managing a broad range of suppliers, tendering, planning and leading complex contract negotiations - and while doing so, create huge value for LEO Pharma.

The Category Manager will

• Be overall responsible for ProcurementStrategy,projects and activities within theGlobal Logistics & Distributionarea
• Proactively look for improvement and optimization opportunities and prioritize the activities of the team according to the common strategy, goals and with a continuous focus on execution in alignment with the other teams in Global Procurement
• Engage and deal with external senior vendor managers and internal senior stakeholders in a global context
• Master in a professional and timely manner the procurement aspects of the supplier base in category/sub-categories, hereunder; supplier market dynamics, supplier performance situations, risks, project status, total spend, contracts and negotiations etc.
• Negotiate and ensure best possible terms and conditions as well as ensuring that all the suppliers are covered by active contracts, in cooperation with Legal

Your qualifications

• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to drive change/transformation via projects
• Degree qualified; Supply Chain, Finance or Logistics
• Strong analytical skills
• Solid relevant professional experience in Logistics and Distribution Procurement
• Procurement and contracting knowledge
• Strong track record improving performance from external distribution partners
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills and high quality of deliverables.
• Have a problem solving mindset and a cooperative attitude

The Logistics & Distribution category and team resides under Global Indirect Procurement in a defined Category Management structure with more 15 other engaged colleagues. We are right now building the new team for continued support to the business and you will be part of a dedicated team of 3 employees reporting directly to the Head of Global Category Management.
